Miami 2013 Men’s Singles Draw: 4th Round

The 2013 Miami Open men’s main draw singles 4th round matches see both halves of the draw play all on the same day for the first time in this tournament on Tuesday 26 March. Below OnCourt Advantage lists the 4th round men’s singles main draw, highlights the seeded players expected to progress through to the semi finals, plus how the seeds, final wildcard and unseeded players have performed to date.

Seven of the top eight seeds have advanced through to play-off for a spot in the quarter finals and lived up to their seeding. In fact, 13 of the top 16 seeds performed according to seeding to make the fourth round with No.17 seed and No.1 ranked American Sam QUERREY making 14 seeds in the final 16 spots.

The sole remaining player not to gain direct acceptance into the draw, wildcard American James Blake fell to Spanish No.10 and current No.61 Albert RAMOS. In an all left-handed battle, Ramos plays against the only other unseeded player remaining in former No.8 Jurgen MELZER who is currently No.42 and the No.1 Austrian, for a spot in the quarter finals!
