Wimbledon 2011: June 13-July 3

The 2011 Wimbledon Grand Slam singles tournament is one of only 4 Grand Slam tournaments held each year and is the only one played on natural grass courts. The British Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) holds Wimbledon, also known as “The Championships”, at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in the United Kingdom.

The 1st round of the main draw will commence on Monday 20 June and the qualifying event will begin on Monday 13 June. The Women’s Singles Final will be played on Saturday 2 July and the Men’s Singles Final on Sunday 3 July. Pictured above is the centre court at Wimbledon in 2010 with its new retractable roof.
