Hopman Cup Tennis 2012

The 2012 Hopman Cup kicks off the 2012 tennis year on New Year’s Eve one and runs through to Mixed Teams Championship Final day on Saturday 7 January. The current World No.1 Caroline WOZNIACKI becomes the 24th No.1 in its 24-year history to compete in these Official ITF Mixed Teams Championship in a testament to the popularity of the Hopman Cup.

The Hyundai Hopman Cup is held at at Western Australia’s Burswood Dome in Perth, Australia at the Burswood Entertainment Complex on two blue Plexicushion Prestige hard courts. The centre court at the Burswood Dome holds 8,000 spectators, the total prize money for 2012 is AUD$ 1,000,000 and this tournament was first held in 1989.
