Hamburg Tennis Men’s Results 2013

Jerzy Janowicz at Wimbledon

The 2013 German Championships in Hamburg men’s singles and doubles results will be listed below for each day of the tournament to make it easier for you to follow who wins and loses, who qualifies, your favourite players progress and who upsets the seeds and who players had to beat to make it through to the quarters, semis and final.

Pictured above is 22-year-old former World No.1 Jerzy Janowicz in the 2013 Wimbledon semi finals just before making contact with the ball for this forehand drive. The 2.03m Janowicz is demonstrating excellent concentration and great positioning for impact likely to allow effective execution of his more powerful ground stroke. The Polish No.1 improved his ranking to a career high on No.17 after his great run on the Wimbledon grass in just his fifth Grand Slam tournament.

After being a runner-up at the 2012 Paris ATP Tour Masters 1000 event, Janowicz is chasing his first ATP Tour singles title starting with his debut in Hamburg this week as the No.4 seed. The right-hander made the final of both the US Open and Roland Garros junior boy’s singles tournaments in 2007 and 2008 respectively, suggesting he is a threat on any surface.
