The 2013 tournament is being held at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on red clay courts. The centre court is known as the Talisman Court and Pista Central and seats up to 8,400 spectators after being reconstructed in 2007.
Barcelona runs from the first day of qualifying on Saturday April 20 through to the Men’s Singles Final day on Sunday 28 April.
The 2012 men’s singles champion was No.1 seed Rafael NADAL who defeated No.3 seed David FERRER in the final 7-6 (7-1), 7-5 to win his seventh Barcelona singles title. The prize money that will be awarded to the 2013 men’s singles champion is € 389,300.
